Keep Creating and Keep Moving Forward!

Hello Followers.

So it has been a few hectic days. Lots of interviews (mostly part time non related to my degree but hey still jobs so yay!) And I realized thatt I have all of this free time and I need to keep creating and working on my craft. As The Robinson family says "Keep Moving Forward" (I love Meet the Robinsons such an underrated Disney Movie)

Whenever you fail at something seriously watch this video it'll cheer you right up!

So even though I have gotten a slew of job rejections I am going to keep moving forward!

First I am working on a new TV drama series entitled "A Living Album" about my ancestors and all of their rich family drama. Stay tuned for updates and excerpts :)

I also recently have decided that other than just being a writer I would love to be a special effects makeup artist (I actually have a job interview for doing that I am soo excited!)
So over the next few weeks I am making makeup designs and plots based off of Disney Villains. Mostly because they each are so unique in their own ways and have very distinct color palettes. Example Cruella DeVil black, white, and red; Ursula grey, purple, green; Hades blue and white; Maleficent green and purple; you get the jist.

So be prepared for those. and keep moving forward!

The Holiday Hangover

Hello Readers,

I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday season filled with fun, food, and more food. I myself am glad to be back on the face of the earth after having to juggle 4 families worth of activities and now I can reflect on this holiday season.

First I think that winter should only last for 3 days. I hate all of this snow and ice and cold. It is pretty and definitely adds some coziness to Christmas, but unless you live in the middle of no where snow gets ugly pretty fast and currently we are in the middle of Snowpocalypse....it's not fun at all.

Though this holiday season has been great for me. Got a chance to catch up with family, got to eat really good food, finally caught up on my favorite TV shows as well as get addicted to other ones.

On the job search front it is pretty much the same. But I will be starting to write a new television drama based off of all of the family history documents my dad found when he was cleaning out my grandma's basement. Turns out our family history is filled with murder, rich family drama, affairs, writers, and more murder. So I decided I should maybe make a TV show about it. Sort of a 1920s Downtown Abbey but in America and slightly more intense.

The most interesting things my Dad found, which these will be in my series for sure, was a collection of diary entries from different family members talking about how/ why they were going to commit murder, and one of those family members committed multiple acts of murder all for the sake of money. My family history is a living example of how money can drive people to madness.

So over the next few weeks I may be posting segments from the show.

Until next time
-Rachel
